Bangkok & Kanchanaburi
Bangkok sets the tone with its temples, markets, canals and neighbourhoods. Then the city gives way to the rivers and forests of Kanchanaburi, where life slows down along the River Kwai.

Continue north to Chiang Mai. Beyond the old city and its temples, head into the surrounding countryside: village life, local food and the landscapes of northern Thailand. Out here, hills, tea plantations and mountain communities feel a world away from Bangkok.
In Khao Sok, the scenery changes completely: rainforest, limestone cliffs, then Cheow Lan Lake, where floating bungalows and the calls of gibbons replace any sense of city life.
The final stop is Koh Lanta, with its long beaches, small coastal villages and easy access to the islands and waters of the Andaman Sea. A place made for slowing down, after a journey that has covered a lot of ground.
Thailand rarely shows all of itself at once. This route is built to let that happen. Capital, countryside, mountains, jungle and coast: each stage has enough room to keep its own character, without ever being rushed through.
Varied without feeling rushed, moving from cities to countryside, then rainforest, before Koh Lanta closes the journey at a walking pace.
